planting seeds in people's minds
Not all of us can afford to sponsor a Formula 1 Team nor is it necessarily always the best choice when considering how to sponsor an activity or your local community.
There is a plethora of possibilities when it comes to sponsorship. Charities, the local football club, a bicycle race, industry awards, seminars, road shows, fashion shows and much much more.
Sponsorship is not always exclusively about money either. Your product or service could be useful for a particular society or charity in exchange for PR, a conference sponsorship could open for one-on-one meetings with new prospects as well as provide speaker opportunities, or you could donate t-shirts or other necessary equipment which will ensure that your logo is associated with the activity of choice.
A sponsorship is a means to gain added publicity but you need to consider “the right” sponsorship activity in support of the company vision, mission and objectives. And – as in any activity – it is necessary to asses the Return on Investment both short and long term.
